The idea of helping companies outside the aviation industry, arose from a situation where we tried to reflect on what other jobs in industry our competencies would fit into. It quickly became obvious that a lot of our skills are transferable and that we, as pilots, have become experts within these areas. Our knowledge and skills as aircrew, enables us to act as consultants within the following areas:
There are very few other industries where the interpretation of the spoken word can mean, bluntly, the difference between life and death. This communication is required to be clear, and precise. Time may be critical so it is important that the communication is in a format and structure that it enables recording the message correctly the first time it is passed on from the aircraft. As experienced and well trained pilots the way we communicate follows a strict setup and format has been trained in the simulator and is engraved in normal procedures. How often have you experienced a message (E.G. an email) from a colleague that was difficult to understand or the message not clear?
Problems experienced could be:
1) Why is this relevant to me?
2) What does my colleague want me to do?
3) By when is this required by?
Every point raised can lead to ambiguity which may lead to mistakes being made. By introducing a communication structure inspired by the type pilots use in aviation, your company could benefit by reducing the risk of errors and miscommunication. We can help you to improve your safety record, efficiency, employee satisfaction and profitability.
Just Safety Culture
If someone in your company makes a mistake that does (or does not) not lead to an incident – what tools have you got in place to ensure that the same mistake does not happen again? Next time the mistake is made it could have a different outcome.
The Just Safety Culture – is a reporting system, where focus is on preventing the same occurrence to happen again, rather than apportioning blaming to the individual that files the report. When reports are regularly filed to the Safety Department, they can monitor trends and analyse why the error was made, and if relevant, suggest mitigation measures.
Imagine, how efficient your company could be if it was legitimate to report all those cases where things nearly went wrong rather than picking up the pieces after any incident? We can assist you with introducing and implementing a Just Safety Culture – ensuring integration is done without this being perceived as “big brother watching” so it becomes a system that your employees trust and therefor rely upon.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
How comfortable and efficient do you feel when you have to work with a colleague you have never worked with before? Most people would probably feel slightly uncomfortable, however by introducing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in your company, expectations and roles are clearly defined – allowing you (and your company) to work more efficiently. SOPs are also of high value, when there is a need to train a new team-member. The creation of SOPs can protect your company from loss of experience and knowledge, when a team-member with many years of service leaves. Pilots use SOPs every time they go to work and this is what enables us to work with any colleague without any preparation and without compromising flight safety. From a management point of view, integrating SOPs along with the Just Safety Culture – is a very smart constellation allowing your company to constantly ensure that the SOPs are clear and effective.
Next step and what is the price?
We recommend that the next step is that we meet with the key stakeholders in your company. When we visit companies our delegation will consist of René Krieger Christensen and an experienced pilot from Team Pro Pilots. The preliminary meeting is free of charge. When working on an assignment the hourly rate for each of our consultants is 1500 DKK including Danish VAT plus travel expenses. Ahead of all assignments, duration and scope will be agreed upon – to ensure that we deliver the expected results.
Our motto “Together Everyone Achieves More” also applies to our business relations.
We are welcome any business proposal and we already have experience with business to customer, business to business and business to government arrangements.
As a general rule, we are not interested in any business arrangement with a “finders fee” if it conflicts with our ability to deliver unbiased and independent counselling.
We do not have any plans of introducing advertisements on our websites, unless there is a direct link/ connection to the services we offer.
Any proposal will be treated with confidentiality and we are willing to sign a confidentiality agreement ahead of any negotiations.
We are regularly looking for experienced pilots to join Team Pro Pilots as well as business opportunities – so you are welcome to contact us.
